None of these are common in Colombia.
1. Ok: join the thumb index fingers, forming a circle with
them and leaving the remaining three fingers stretched (but without force) in
the air. It does not matter with what hand it is made, whether the left or the
right.
2.- Yay!: this gesture translates as banzai! in Japanese and
is formed with both arms upwards with open hands in victory sign.
3.- Make a promise to someone: it is created by linking the
little finger with someone else's.
4.- 'Give me': this gesture would be translated as 'no', 'do
not do that', 'bad', 'impossible' or 'forbidden'. To do this we will cross both
arms keeping both hands stretched with our fingers together facing towards us
in a sign of prohibition.
5.- Being angry: the two index fingers of the hands are
raised above the head as if forming devil's horns.
6.- Cut the neck: gesture that is used when you are
dismissed from work. It is formed by making a hand-cut motion in front of the
neck.
7.- Refer to your girlfriend or wife: raising the little finger
of the hand. It is indifferent with what hand is made.
8.- Are we going to drink something ?: the shape of a glass
is made by hand making the movement.
9. Money: this gesture is used to refer to money, but
without meaning that you have much or little, it is a neutral gesture. For
example you could say: 'I have little' money '(and here make the gesture). It
is formed by making a circle with the thumb and forefinger and turning the hand
down.
10.- Come here: create yourself with the palm of the hand downwards
and facing towards you, doing the back and forth movement (same gesture is done
in Europe or America but with the opposite meaning: "go").
