Attitudes towards Social Status

Japan is a country where the hierarchy rules the society, they respect the people depending on the role he plays in society. Obviously they respect all people but when it comes to an important person the things changes, cause as it is someone important needs extremely respect. In Colombia, however, it is not honored or respected as in Japan, whether a common person or someone important, the hierarchy is not respected. not all people are like that obviously but you could say that it is not a society where there is a lot of respect.
